Sentry Plus

My previous camera for this spot was a reolink. This new NetView sentry wire free camera is so much better, clearer, adjustable and so easy to install. Will be looking to replace my other reolink's with Netview's sentry camera. Highly recommend.

I am very happy to receive this camera, i love the design and I absolutely love the functions of this camera , it is very simple to set up , the picture quality is very great , I love the fact that it has an alarm to warn off intruder, it is very easy to install and and connect without any difficulties. The speaker and microphone function is very good. It is interesting to know that it save me money as I do not have to plug it into any power source. I AM LOVING IT. This is a great news for my friends in Africa! They can monitor their homes without worrying about plugging it to unstable power supply. I have always use Netvue cameras for my homes. I have introduced friends who have purchased more than 30 Netvue cameras and none of us have regretted it. This new solar powered camera is just mind blowing !!!!! Guys you have to try it.

I bought one, and it did not work as I was wanting it to. I really wanted to like it. Sometimes it would record, sometimes it would not. I chatted with customer service and they gave me some things to do to make it better. It will pick up cars driving down the street, but only about half of the time will it start to record when I walk right past it. It has no consistency. I bought a second one, hoping it would work as I was expecting the first one to work. It works just as the first one. Sometimes it picks up motion and sends me an alert. When I click to view, many of the events shown are after the fact, I can only see the back of the car in the distance driving away. I have spent hours trying to understand just how t make them work as they should. The live camera shots are great! control of camera is great! I just wish it would pick up movements consistently and record and send an alert.

it's just one of the best things you can buy very useful.

Excellent camera, I have the solar model and its been running a couple months and the battery is still nearly full. Picture quality is HD, infrared is great as well, flood light is very bright and I often use it to work on my truck which says even more about the battery. Just a great little unit. I have a couple and will be adding more thanks to the ease of installation and the app is second to none.. its also one of the few of its kind to alert ypu away from home . Be careful when choosing and if this is in ypur cart go ahead and pull the trigger ..

I purchased two century plus cameras after multiple thefts were reported in surrounding neighborhoods. I already own the vigil, which is a wired camera, and I thought I would try their 360° wireless. I really liked the solar rechargeable feature, but was a little skeptical. I am happy to say both cameras are working beautifully, even in areas that do not get a lot of sun. Both areas where I installed them have dappled sunlight for part of the day, but both cameras have been holding a full charge since the day I installed them. I chose to install them on trees so as to not put holes in the siding on my house. Sometimes the Wi-Fi is weak given their distance from my router, but I still have no difficulty with lag or glitching. Getting them up and running on the app and physically installing them is very simple. I did have an issue getting the app to recognize my second camera even though it successfully went through all the steps. I contacted support and they were readily available and rectified the issue quickly. I chose to add event recording and human detection plans, so the cameras aren’t picking up every motion all day long and so I can review via video what it does pick up. Having not had these with my vigil camera I can say it makes the user experience significantly better. I’m very happy with the low costs of these plans and this is one of the reasons I went back to Netvue for my second set of cameras. I feel so much better knowing I can see what’s going on outside of my home.

24 hr camera whether day or night.

Have had it only 3 months. Already it doesn't keep the battery charged. I have to bring the unit in to charge it up over night every 4 weeks or the battery will totally drain down. I believe it's the solar panel that doesn't work. I live in Florida and it gets total sun almost all of the day.

Got this Camera with other cameras and was trying to compare. The base design and the software is exactly the same in both the cameras except the manufacturer logos. The other camera i got from Netvue was 50 dollars cheaper than this one. I am not mentioning that camera here as this review might be rejected. I am returning this camear as the motion detection is not working. In the both Cameras they advertise "AI DETECTION"..TOTAL FARSE if you are thinking of buying for AI human, dog,package etc detection. ALL THESE DETETCIONS COME WITH SUBSCRIPTION ONLY AND NOT FREE.

I liked everything about this cam but the battery life wasn't good. If the battery drains and the cam goes offline its done.

I love it. I highly recommend the netvue Sentra Pro, gives me peace of mind. Had little experience problems st the beginning but after Netvue exchanged this new one its the greatest, charges correctly, save images. It's worthy

The customer support of NetVue is exemplary. Connecting with representative Sophia of customer support is a pleasure. I asked for a feature not yet supported but she was kind enough to put it into engineering as a new feature request. The cameras are all of great quality and I replaced all 10 of my TriVision cameras with the NetVue Sentry series. Customer for life! best regards Tony H.

Works good we’re you have power

I purchased 2 as a Father's Day gift. I thought I read everything - apparently I did not see or understand the 2.4 WIFI which I believe is ridiculous - I have not heard of WIFI other than 4G or 5G for years. Returning for a more up to date camera from a different company.

Set was easy, just scan code. Good price and quality. Charge overnight and it's ready to go once u c green light. Easy to install. Only had it a few days, so unable to review solar, but it plugs up easily. Night vision is pretty good, can change from infrared to spot light. Panning function works perfect. I subscribed to the video function for $1.99 per month, worked immediately. Netvue App is informative and does all the functions. No complaints. Addition, installed on 6/15 at 100%, 6/26 solar power at 28%. Decent sunshine, will probably have to remove from outside and power back to 100% with outlet.

It’s a decent camera for the price. Wi-Fi connection is fairly strong. I would recommend it if you’re not looking to spend a lot of money.

With NetVue, I love the simplicity of setting up their cameras. It's literally seconds to get their camera up and running. The Sentry Plus PTZ camera is made well and easy to operate. I have been having some issues with the setup, but Anna at NetVue has worked with me to resolve the problem. We haven't resolved YET but with her help I know we will. This is usually a problem with their products but for some reason, I seem to have a difficult area that seems to be the problem. Its location is where I need to get the view that I want. We'll get it. Thanks for all of your help, Anna. Great Job

I would have given thus a 5 star rating if I could get the camera to record to the SD card. I tried 3 different cards and still am unable to get it to record. I have 5 other netvue cameras (not solar) that have no problem recording to the SD card. Customer service just told me to keep trying different cards. It is still not recording.

Didn’t know the camera wouldn’t work with the app to use storage. We have two other Netvue camera products in our home and it was convenient to find an outdoor solar camera, but the motion detection is too strong even on the lowest settings, it doesn’t recognize things correctly, and despite being in a well lit area to charge, it still doesn’t stay connected easily and dies quickly.

This camera is great, the day time and night time pictures are clear and crisp. The ability to have a constant live steam powered by solar power allowed my to place this camera in my my backyard without running electric.

Only have had camera a month. Had a glitch they are working on it. They replaced camera first one was a lemon replacement seems to be working Quite well it's only been one week. I overall am pleased with netvue.

This is my second camera from Netvue. My first camera is inside my house and I love it so I knew I would be pleased with the Plus. It was easy to set up and install. I like being able to move the cameras view from my phone. The solar panels helps with the battery life.

Loved how easy this product was to setup, install and add to the app. Works really good and just be sure to install where you have good light so it charges itself.

This is my second Netvue camera and is not disappointing. Easy to install easy to operate. Only thing I have noticed is it has some issues with the recognition of objects and humans but otherwise a really great product.

I was totally disappointed with the performance of this Netvue camera. Camera no longer working after two weeks of installation. Prior to this, I was a loyal and totally satisfied customer of Netvue cameras. Again, totally disappointed.

The outdoor camera arrived within a few days after ordering. The instructions for setup were easy to follow. The setup and connection to my home network was simple and took less than 10 minutes to complete. Picture quality was excellent. A separate sd card is required to record any photos detected by motion. This feature works very well. The camera comes with a solar panel to keep the camera battery charged. The camera has a pan an tilt feature that allows a wide range of view. So far the camera has worked very well.

Amazing camera really recommend, picture is clear and so easy to set up and install only down fall is you can't change the timeline for the motion sensor to come on.

I am very impressed with the night vision images. Installation was simple and easy.

This is what I was looking for, works as advertised. Nice detailed picture and solar makes it very convenient.

The video portion works good, but I can get much volume out of the microphone. The app also won't let you play back any of the video full screen, it only shows a small window and you can't pause, zoom, or rewind, which makes the recorded video pretty much useless. The camera also frequently won't connect, despite a strong WiFi signal. The plug-in powered Netvue cameras seem to operate much better. My other wish is that this camera also had tracking ability so it could track a moving object. Many of the newer cameras have this feature.

This is a really nice camera. I've had it running on battery for almost two weeks as of this writing and battery level is still 80% left. It only records motion so that helps battery life. It comes with a solar panel which was really nice. It has a flood light that can be remotely turned on and off as well as an alarm to scare off intruders. One of the coolest features, being a pan-tilt-zoom camera, you can save the different camera positions in a memory presets. Just tap the button for the preset you want and the camera automatically moves to that position. Seams pretty water tight for outdoor use.

I like this wireless camera with the solar panel so I don't have to worry about the power going out. I love the controlling of the 360 and tilting aspect (both controllable with the app). The push to talk microphone quality is very good too. There's a siren in the app that you can manually activate or have it activate anytime it detects motion, great for scaring intruders away. There's also a flashlight you can turn on but this camera is equipped with night mode as well. Been testing this for a few days and it's a very solid camera, if only it has 24/7 recording since the power isn't a problem. A micro SD card would be awesome if it was included.

This is a great quality camera. Comes with a solar panel so it's 100% wireless. Picture quality is very good and there is a push to talk button on the app. The 360 and tilting of the camera can be controlled via the app as well. The motion detection misses the first couple of seconds of movement for some instances. Pressing the live view on the app takes a while to load, hopefully they can fix that. Would be great if it also came included with the micro SD card like the Wyze cameras, but that's not a big problem. Overall, this is a solid camera thus far. Hopefully the solar panel and internal batteries can last a long time.

Camera is easy to install and set up with the app. Solar panel is great for keeping the camera fully powered. Picture quality is good too. Love the smooth rotation of the camera from the app. It has motion detection, but would be even better if it had continuous recording. Push to talk microphone is clear as well. So far no issues with the camera.

Love this product. Install was easy and the camera works great! Love the spotlight feature and the 360 surround view. This is a great addition to our 2 other NetVue products and provides us piece of mind security! Love the color pictures too, when light comes on at night. Great feature!

UPDATE: The solar panel now works. It simply wasn’t connected firmly. This is my 7th Netvue camera. I've had several different models from indoor to outdoor. The Sentry Pro is a new model that allows for a solar panel which makes it really convenient to install. The first thing I noticed opening the box is how well it seems to be built and stylish it is. Just like the other Netvue cameras, it is easy to set up and install. When you receive this camera you need to let it fully charge before installing it. A couple of comparisons to the Vigil Pro (I have 4 of these installed now). The camera angle view on the Sentry gives you a wider angle ... probably about 20% more viewing area. Again, since it's battery/solar, you can install this just about anywhere your router will allow. I love that you can set up and save different viewing positions. The night vision seems to be the same as the Vigil. Image quality is as good as any other low-cost security camera. The added light is great if you don't want infrared mode and works well. Another thing I really enjoy with Netvue cameras is the capability to add a micro SD card. I don't have to subscribe to any service. Now, the thing I don't like compared to the Vigil Pro is I no longer get 24/7 recording. Which is to be expected from a camera run on battery. That would simply drain the battery. The solar panel at the moment doesn't seem to be charging the camera. It's not showing as charging it. I've had the camera installed for 2 days now and the battery is at 99% (which is actually pretty good). On the Vigil Pro cams, I can monitor those via web browser on my laptop. The Sentry isn't showing. So, I assume it can only be monitored via the app (no biggie). On the Vigil, I can go to a screenshot of the notifications and press play ... which then takes me to the video. That is not available on the Sentry. I have to go to the SD card to see the video and then some of those screen grabs aren't on the video capture. I also have yet to figure out how to save the videos the Sentry is capturing. On the Vigil, I can save that directly to my phone with a simple download button. Things I like better on the Sentry compared to the Vigil ... Motion capturing. The Vigil catches every bug that files into view. This makes notifications constant at night. When pulling up the camera in the app, the Sentry is always muted. The Vigil is not and can be extremely loud when you live close to traffic. All in all ... this seems to be a solid camera. If you only care about capturing motion and not 24/7 recording ... this will be a great camera. It is new, so, I'm hoping some of the above kinks will be addressed in firmware updates. I'll leave the camera up for now but may go back to my Vigil Pro simply for the 24/7 recording feature.

Been waiting for a great wireless & solar camera for my yard. This solar, wireless & pan/tilt camera is awesome. Nice clear image, very little lag. Easy setup, took about 5 minutes to both add it to my other cameras in the app (2-Netvue’s) & install it on the side of my house. I use a microSD & it saves motion activated videos FREE. Check out how sensitive it is! Caught video of a mouse on my deck scurrying all around. If you have other Netvue cameras, you gotta get this one.

I’ve used Netvue cameras since 2017. When Netvue introduces a new camera, it is always better than the last one and this camera is the best by far. Netvue has also added many impressive upgrades to their app in the last 5 years. The best part about this camera is that it not only connects to a router wirelessly like all Netvue cameras, but the electrical is wireless as well eliminating the need to add a power outlet or use an extension cord. It has a battery that recharges via a solar panel. I like the addition of a “flashlight” that can be turned on automatically with motion detection, or manually with the app. Using the flashlight at night gives a color picture instead of black and white and the picture quality is excellent. This camera has an option to remember positions, which is a huge plus. Netvue’s directions are easy to follow which made it quick to set up this camera after charging the battery with the USB cord for 15 hours. The bracket allows for either a side mount or ceiling mount. Some of the older Netvue camera brackets allow for only a side mount, not a ceiling mount. The camera is mounted approximately 35’ from my router and the wi-fi strength only shows “medium,” although it doesn’t seem to have any negative effect on camera performance. The battery shows full, so it appears that the solar panel is working well. I will update my review regarding the battery and solar dependability at a later date. What I don’t like is that the camera can only be positioned using the “Pan and Tilt” rather than touching the screen, which means it cannot be moved by a tiny amount. Hopefully, Netvue will change this in the future.

I have entire experience with this product in two homes I am very satisfied with netvue cameras

This is my 3rd Netvue outdoor camera. This camera is very good as it's wireless, has the ability to move the camera and view areas that are not normally accessible by other cameras. If only the app was better, sometimes it takes a while to load the live view when I click into it. Very easy set up, picture quality is very good. Just started testing it with the solar panel, so we'll see how that goes. It would be great if it had continuous recording since it comes with the solar panel. What would make it a complete package is if it also came with an micro SD card so I don't have to buy it separately.

Camera came in we’ll packaging and had everything needed for a very quick install. I have owned other older models and needed one that I could tilt and move to be able to see more of my property. This camera did the trick and had a great field of view. The picture quality is great and you won’t be disappointed with this well priced camera. It’s good quality and feels sturdy to with stand harsh weather. I am very pleased with its overall performance, setup and installation is a breeze!

App is super user friendly works great with multiple cameras on the same system. Very clear picture. Would recommend would purchase again.

Netvue replaced the camera and solar panel, everything is working amazing well now, this is now my favorite wireless camera, would highly recommend this camera.

The design is nice. I like how it includes the solar panel to recharge the inner battery. **currently testing the solar panel** will update after a couple of weeks. Not sure how long the battery will last on its own. Set up of the camera was the easiest among all the other cameras. I installed the SD card with no issues. I had to do a firmware update, once it got to 100% it did nothing. I had to back out of the app and reopen it for the setup to move forward. I read in the manual to not expose the camera lenses to direct light, but my intention of for the outdoor camera to be outdoors. Will it having exposure to the sun ruin it, if so, then why is it an outdoor camera? Using the app: I get an error when I open the app and click on the camera. Picture included. I back out click on it again and it will let me through. But annoying it doesn’t work the first time. Also, when it does let me open the camera, it takes about a minute to connect to the camera. Sometimes I have to back out and reopen the camera view. Picture quality is really good when you select HD. I wish you could see or select the recorded videos from this screen versus. When I click the notification on the main screen it only shows me still pictures, Picture included, I can’t find where to view the videos. Not sure where to actually view videos but after time found I could When I open the camera, go to settings and click on SD card. However, I don’t have recordings, even though it has and accepted the SD card, even after formatting. There is an option for motion tracking. (Pic included). I selected it, but it isn’t doing it. It would be amazing if it did work. One main reason I was thinking about getting the Eufy camera. I don’t understand the “position” option and what it is for. I feel like there needs to be more information provided in the instruction manual. I wish the app was a little more user friendly.

Full disclosure; This is my fourth NV Camera. The first two cameras needed to be hooked up to AC power (Netview Sentry 2). The last two I ordered can be powered by internally charged batteries and/or supplemented by a solar cell array. Happily, this model is already packaged with the solar cell included. These devices are really easy to set up. The first thing you will need to do is charge the camera batteries with the included USB cable. This will take a while. Then, download the Netvue app and create an account. Connect the camera to your 2.4Ghz wireless router and register it to your account by scanning the QR code that shows up on your phone in the app. If you do not want to save videos to the cloud, you can install a 128G Micro SD card. Once you insert the card in the camera, use the app to format the card. After all this is accomplished, find a spot to attach the camera and the solar panel. The solar panel cable is very long so that will give you many placement options. Make sure that the placement of the camera will allow you to connect to your wifi router. I suggest you download a wifi analyzer app on your phone so you can check the strength of your signal. Once this is accomplished, attach the camera to the surface you choose using the supplied template to mark an drill the screw holes needed. You can access the camera through the app on your phone. The picture is crystal clear. The camera also has night vision (in monochrome) and if you want color, you can turn on the white light on the camera right from your phone.

This is far the best camera for the price.... smooth operation, settable points of interest, 2 way audio, alarm, the motion is great! Love this camera. Sooo easy to install.

Netvue been a great system , I introduced this system to a neighbor as well. Great for checking in on pets and keeping thieves away. Currently my 5th camera all netvue and love the new solar camera!

Haven't installed yet, but it is clearly a quality camera. I'm excited to get it in place and see what happens outside our house when were not around.
