Great picture quality and sound. Records everything. AI isn't bad at all. Fine tuning notifications is great. Easy to install, connect, operate. Worth it.

Fantastic camera! Works perfectly for viewing my back yard property and house.
Like the fact I can view my dogs clearly day or night. Solar panel keeps battery at full charge.
So simple to install and inter-great with existing home security system.

Good quality, easy to install !

Hi just received the cam .
I have a few Netvue cameras happy with them working fine and a subscription plan .
This one presents a few problems :
- indicator blue lights does not turns off when selected .
- no motion zone in the app
- motion detection is erratic when you stand and move in front no detection …
- the camera is a little too big and the attachment fixing not very sturdy when you are in motion on a boat
As I use them (3)at home and 3 other ones in my boat.
This one is supposed to stay outside on the deck but as these problems … I have not decided yet where to install it
You have to improve that one !

I mostly like the camera but find it frustrating.
Nothing like as quick to respond to a passing animal as my other Netvue cameras which often catch a passing bird in flight.
I also miss the ability to review the whole day to see when a delivery was made etc. This camera is no use for that as the battery would be flat in a couple of days but I knew that when I bought it.
Positive:-
Easy to install
Not too obtrusive but I'd have preferred a black version
Great battery life
Easy to setup
Negative:-
Slightly different interface from my other 2 Netvue cameras
Loses the ability to connect to the unit to read the SD card. Error message says SD not connected but a few minutes later it can connect. Doesn't seem to be the connection at fault
Seems slow to react to an animal passing by.
I tried the 3 settings and I can't find one that suits the surroundings and will give a response when required but not be triggered by some grass.

telecamera veramente efficiente, dopo una settimana la batteria è ancora la 100%
Veloce da installare e bella da vedere

I got this cam for double duty, bird watching and surveillance. It does both adequately. Watch the battery!!! I originally had motion turned on and my goldfinches were eating down this battery way too fast. And I will repeat what I said on previous cam reviews- never let the battery drain and go offline. So, I have an extension cord hooked up but I still have to take the cam down for the night to charge. I just don't have to bring it in, small convenience I suppose. I may invest in the solar panel, now that I dont have motion on, but honestly for it to be effective at surveillance I do turn motion on at night if I'm thinking about it.
So it suits my needs.

I’ve found the battery life on this camera no where near several months like some of the reviews have suggested. With average use around view camera 8 times a day and around 10 alerts a day I’m getting around 3 weeks use before charging.
Although the camera has very good video quality I find the alerts to be a bit hit and miss,
Also, there appears no way to view recordings from the sd card in landscape mode

A rookie buyer here but the camera works great and has excellent customer service on Live chat

Fantastic little camera.
Probably the easiest to setup iot device I've ever used.
You tell the netvue app your wireless network details.
It generates a barcode, you switch the camera on and point it at the barcode, and viola, it's connected and available.
However after three days of having it plugged into three different chargers and using three different cables.
And the blue charging light being on and the camera itself saying its charging, the battery still shows the same 30 odd percent it had when I received it.
It's perfect for what I wanted and an amazing price, but it looks like this one will have to go back :-(

I purchased 2 of these. One works as advertised. The other died after a month and now wont take a full charge. I gave 3 stars because I have to imagine that this is just a fluke but it’s after the return period so I am out of luck

Easy to install and excellent picture

Camera works quite well on my work bench but I haven’t been able to hook it up to the internet because I don’t have a dedicated 2.4ghz WiFi router. Only 5ghz. The camera needs 2.4ghz. I have tried jury rigging my 2.4/5 ghz WiFi router only to find all my other devices became disconnected.

very good camera he makes good videos and pics

Great feed , we feel more secure with this camera .

Great camera easy to set up. Netvue needs to include the other apps you need to use the camera for seeing the video recordings. It only shows snapshots without buying another app.

The item arrived from the supplier quickly, very well packaged. I think its a sign of a manufacturers confidence in a product if its packaged well. The camera itself has a very sturdy, quality feel about it. It appears that good quality products were used in its manufacture, including the mounting, although I would suggest using your own screws instead of the cheap ones that came with it. They are a soft alloy and the heads 'chew' very easily.
Setting the camera up was easy. it only took a couple of minutes, certainly easier than other cameras I have used in the past. The batteries took a while to fully charge, but they are high capacity. There is also an option to use a solar panel, which can be bought separately.
I mounted a 128mg SD card in the camera. my first attempt at formatting it was unsuccessful, I put this down to the brand of card. Be aware, some brands are more compatible than others.
Picture quality is more or less on a par with other Netvue products I have used, not quite as sharp and there is a slight fisheye effect from the lens. But its no big deal.
Motion detection is very quick and alerts are sent to the app on my phone virtually straight away.
Connection between the App and the live view feature on the camera is slower than my other cameras, this could be a software issue though.
The camera has a couple of other cool features such as colour pictures at night and an audible alarm.
My only issue, is the software, no option to select/mask unwanted zones, this is pretty standard on most decent cameras now, maybe this is to 'encourage' people to spend extra on the month A.I option?, also, the U.I isnt the same as the others in my Netvue collection, which are very user friendly. I would suggest changing this and keep the same format across the range. Only a minor issue though.
One thing I would like to mention is the excellent customer service/support I received from the company when I contacted them about an issue with finding the video clips (my fault for looking in the wrong place) I have always found the customer support very good from Netvue.
Luis H.
Doesn't record all day and the time to see the recording it's hard to see it. And the sencer only turn during the day not at night.
Laurent L.
I didn't receive the cam yet.

We use our cameras to monitor our dog activities as well as any deliveries or movement that take place. The motion detection feature is very reliable even at the ends of our property. (1 acre). Night vision images are picked up on camera as well.
The instructions and setup of the cameras was quite easy! Things were up and running in short order. WI-FI access and website support has been positive. Adding a solar panel was simple and quick. Knowing we won’t lose power on our cameras gives us peace of mind! Thank you so much for your products - we will continue to add to our system and recommend you to others!!

Setup is easy, great affordable cameras!

This is our 3rd Netvue camera. The setup is a breeze literally took maybe 5 minutes. The app is simple to use but advanced in its features and all cameras can ne added to the one app. Alarm/light feature are wonderful. Sound/picture quality are perfect. Don't hesitate to buy they are great!
Kaitlyn Kupler
Purchased 2 cameras. Great picture quality, I love that you can talk through them and set off an alarm remotely. I love the spot light feature on them as well. Great cameras, for a very reasonable price.

I’m so happy we have the solar panel for the camera. I don’t have to worry about climbing up a ladder to take the camera down to charge then put it back up. The solar panel has saved so much time and given my family and I so much peace knowing we don’t ever have to worry about it shutting off. I highly recommend this product! The camera is also very clear in day, night, or rain.
MotoCowgirl
I was surprised how easy the installation is , works good , solar panel is good. Picture quality is mediocre.
vita
I like how it’s true wireless only thing is it coulda been like the inside Cameras with motion so you can be able to move it side to side from your phone
Michael Gallo
This solar panel is both great at angling and getting enough power to keep devices at a fully charged state, I haven’t noticed the battery go below mid-90%’s yet at night when there is no solar powe, but charges back up to 100% the next day. GREAT SOLAR PANEL!! 5/5!!

Picture is clear and easy to use. I do wish it would work with Google Home as it has been stated in the past. This Vigil does not. They apparently are working on it!

I have used Netvue for many years now. I love that this camera is wireless and the solar panel keeps it 100% charged. I bought a second one for the opposite side of my house.
I have kept with Netvue due to the customer service! They are always quick to respond and help. Plus their products have many features I love. Especially the human and package alerts!
A D
easy set up and does what it says it will do .
ideal if you dont want to wire it in and have that expense
jjjjllll
It will detect anything that moves, leaves, dust? Etc. I will have over 30 warning a day! You can not select only human features unless you subscribed their service. Otherwise , everything! What a joke. As I am typing this review, there is already 3 warnings! Come on! Netvue. Your indoor cameras work fine buttt………
Update: received on march 5, 2022. As of today, may 29, 2022, the battery only has 1/4 left. I don’t think it will last 8 months as the manufacturer claim. I think it will last may be one more month the most. So, only half of what they claim!
Ron Cadigal
I have several Netvue cam around the house and love them for the most part.
Here my problem. I had someone milling around the outside of my house last week. They stood outside motionless for 30 sec scoping out the place making sure no one was around. Then he approached in the camera blind spots. Walked drive where my other netvue cam picked him up. Being able to piece together video from the front cam and the driveway cam was in valuable but was only possible by rolling through the constant video from both camera. This help me identify camera blindspots.
Second example: The neighbor across the street had their catalytic converter stolen. Police came by to ask is the camera had video recording. I was able to see the thieves by rolling back the video to see them drive up looking like city workers with orange vest. Again the sat for several minutes checking to see the coast was clear. Then quickly jumped under their car to cut it out. 1-2 min and drove off.
Since it was across the street it did not trigger a motion notification as i had those zone turned off. Could not see the license plate number but could get a make of the car and general description of the thieves.
The SD card option is awesome as with a 64 GB card it will record all day and record over the oldest recording. This wireless camera records for 24 sec only when it senses motion. I contacted Netvue and they said the 24 sec record time helps to save battery life and there is no way to make this camera record constantly even with a solar panel attached. I suggested changing the record time time from the arbitrary 24 sec record time to user control 30 sec, 1 min, 5 min would be a good enhancement. Hopefully they resolves this.

We have our camera mounted to the front of our house with a solar panel. The camera works well, just a bit of a delay in letting you know when motion is detected. The delay is the only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5.
Chase Brooks
I don't have a SD card for it, but it still works great, I just can't do playback right now.

With couple of software updates - its working perfectly now. Thank you Rachel at Netvue customer service for all your help. Yes, I would recommend this wireless outdoor camera.

Great security camera for the price. Cameras are as described online, arrived as scheduled & professionally packaged. NETVU app is full featured and intuitive to use i.e. motion alerts, 2 way voice, alarm, LED light, save & deletion of images, Live View. Day & Night vision is clear, motion detection sensitivity is very good & adjustable. Slight 2-5 sec delay from detection to app. Solid construction, easy online / camera setup, battery life is very good lasting a few months in non-busy detection areas. Very happy with initial 2 that we purchased 3 more for a 2nd house.
Kimberly
I have a place where electricity is not an option, but Wi-Fi is - so I gave this camera a try. I liked it so much I bought another. The battery will last depending on the times it is recording - hi activity - shorter battery life, this detection can be adjusted still better than no camera at all.
It can hear live with in a good range & the speaker volume is fantastic.
Christian
No video recording unless you actually subscribe to a cloud servive
Video quality not so great in live mode
Is either to sensitive or not
Lauren
Battery life is horrific if you live on a busy street and use motion detection. I bought but couldn’t use human detection on this device or cloud storage. I messaged the company and they said only the 3M cameras can use premium features.

Replaced my Netvue Bullet Surveillance Camera with this rechargeable battery operated unit. I'm very impressed with the quality of this unit. Better picture and video quality with wide angle lens. Battery and solar powered, no need for power cord. Night vision is very sharp. This is a top notch surveillance unit and would recommend it to others.

Don’t buy Netvue dealing with their tech support is worse than getting your teeth pulled!!! They don’t care about resolving your issues. It’s a security camera for a reason. They make it impossible to return a product too.
KMR
Happy to buy that product, image and video is crystal and clear. Even increase video size to watch clearly. 100% Recomendation for others to buy.

Excellent picture from this battery camera, with no wires to worry about it’s out of the box and on to the wall in a jiffy. What’s not to like!

If you are purchasing this for use as a security camera, keep shopping. I have had nothing but trouble with these cameras since the day I installed them. I am tech-savvy and have very strong and reliable wifi, so the issues are not operator error or system instability. I have a total of 4 Netvue cameras. The 2 older ones (wireless, no batteries, used indoors) work great and record constantly. The 2 Vigil Plus wireless cameras I purchased in February rarely work properly. The most common issue is not being able to connect to the camera at all - and that usually happens when I am not at home. It is VERY frustrating to receive an alert and see a picture of someone standing on your porch, but not be able to interact or even connect to the live camera at all (2-way sound is useless if I can't connect to the camera before the person leaves). Other issues: The date and time stamp on my alerts is off by several hours on both cameras, even after double-checking the time zone settings on both cameras and my home wifi connection. Battery life is a JOKE! I got the cameras in February and have already had to charge them, even after fully charging them for an entire day and night before installing them. Considering they rarely work correctly, I'm certain it isn't excessive activity using up the battery life. The timing of the snapshots on the alerts is way off. It snaps a series of 3 pictures as long as 10 seconds after the actual activity began - usually a picture of someone walking away from the door and 2 more pictures of my empty porch. It takes a very long time for the live feed to load, so if an event is happening and you need to quickly check in, you cannot. Sometimes it takes multiple attempts to load the live stream - up to 2 or 3 minutes. That is a long time to wait if somebody is ringing your doorbell or stealing a package from your porch. If I only had one of them and it consistently failed to work, I would keep trying to troubleshoot this. I have 2 and they BOTH consistently fail to connect, fail to record, and just fail.

I really wanted to like this camera but it seems to have so many flaws, so I’m going to return it
- There was no Motion Zone option so I couldn’t set up zones.
- Even with high sensitivity on the motion detection, no motion was detected other than when I moved the camera. My other cameras covering the same area were detecting motion.
- I couldn’t find any way to download captured motion videos (I can record videos from my other Netvue cameras)
- Sometimes the camera didn’t connect when I opened it in the app.
All in all, it has the feel of a camera from another manufacturer that has been forced into the Netvue app and doesn’t quite work in the same way. Pity.
Nick L
Straight forward install and great picture quality. The issue we had was the battery only lasted 2 weeks. I did have it adjusted so only motion near my house was on. I wasn’t getting a ton of notifications that would warrant a short battery life. It was also a little weird that you need to take the camera down to recharge it. If the battery was removeable I probably would have bought an extra and just swapped them.

It's really easy to set up! The software the camera interfaces with is very intuitive. This is our 2nd NetVue camera so it made it even easier to add the new camera... The step by step directions were very clear and precise. It only takes minutes to set up and deploy. You won't be disappointed with the quality of the picture it is very clear. Hope this helps!
GSI
I like the picture quality. Also the app is easy to use and doesn’t have any delay.

I bought this camera to attach to my shed at my allotment. I've connected it up with a 4G WiFi dongle that's powered by a solar panel.
It's easy to set up and seems to be working perfectly.
Jeanne Horishny
I didn’t get the hype on the camera thing. I do now! This camera is so much more than I expected. Fast to put up. A little tricky splitting the 2.4g and 5g but after that way too easy! The colors are dead on, night or day. The range of the camera view or Wi-Fi are incredible. The mic and speaker loud. The spotlight bright. I haven’t tried the alarm, don’t want to annoy the neighbors. Rachel in the chat was great helping me get the time to match. I’d like to set a different alert tone but I think that’s Apple. Well worth the investment! (I’d love to add pics but can’t seem to get Netvue to cooperate.)
Robert M.
I hate it because I never got it. Ordered day before Christmas and it’s March 22nd. I’ve tried to talk to someone without success, you get a computer asking questions that have no relevance.
Beware…..Bob M

This is a very good outdoor camera. The night vision is great, I can easily see what’s happening across the yard at night. The picture is a little fisheyed, which I’m sure helps see a wider view, but does make some close up objects look a little wonky. This is my second Netvue camera, and I’ve been pleased with this one so far. It meets our needs for a very affordable price.

With our harsh winter and above average snowfall, wildlife visited areas under bird feeders. The camera provided a chance to watch, take photos, videos. Plus, I could watch various visitors live! Birds, squirrels, fox, chipmunks, both day and night.
Julia Brainin
This camera was easy to mount, easy to get working and its wireless. Thats the best feature of all. It works great and the night vision is really clear.
Ruth Taylor
I love this product. The ability to view deliveries and people at my door is of prime importance as I live alone.
Perry
I've had this camera for a couple weeks now. Was going to wait and write this review after I saw how long the battery charge lasted but it is still going and showing 63% charge left! Motion detection is great and I have had no false triggers. The camera only records motion detection on the SD card (Sold seperately) which helps greatly reduce battery consumption. I believe though with a subscription you can have 24/7 recording. The one drawback is I found no way to download/save motion video clips within the Netvue app but I use my devices screen recording to copy them. The other drawback is I planned to use this outdoors as it is rated for such, but my winter temps go below 14 degrees fahrenheit which it the minimum rating on this camera. Over all I am satisfied with it.

This camera is quite impressive for its price. This is my second camera from this seller that I have bought. This camera has HD video and Audio. It does look very nice. The camera set up was so easy! Wifi set up was a breeze. The motion detection and night vision are impressive, the function is so fluid. What I love the most about it is the fact it's wireless and have a rechargeable Battery Powered.
Easy to set up and good value. The camera arrived well packaged and in perfect condition. The android apps work without any problems with great features.
We have installed this camera in my front door and it provides incredibly CLEAR images. Overall I am VERY satisfied with this camera and recommend.
Amberlyn Wendling
Battery life is great! Clear day and night vision. Easy to install.
Debbie xx
I already have two of these cameras on my home which are brilliant and work great & very clear. I therefore bought another two, although these have no wires so can be moved should the need arise in the future, like moving home.
I love that I can watch from wherever I am via my phone. I can watch not just my door but my drive to keep an eye on my car.
As I have deliveries when not home the one round the back can see who leaves my parcels in my shed.
The picture is very sharp which makes faces easy to identify.
The camera can also video areas you request it too to enable you only record on your own property should neighbours object. Mine don’t as they’re happy to have free security.
These cameras are of a very high quality. Your money will certainly not be wasted on them. Highly recommended to buy.

I’ve went through three different cameras from other manufacturers on my front walkway and had resigned myself to using indoor cameras pointed out my window. I decided to give this one a try on a whim and WOW- I’m really impressed! The picture quality is amazing, the night vision is also 1000x better than I ever imagined it would be. I decided to mount this camera on the front of my garage facing my driveway/vehicles. I had planned to buy a third Orbi satellite for my mesh WiFi system to reach the camera and to install a new floodlight over the top of the camera. Well- I no longer need to buy the extra satellite (extender) as this camera easily reaches the satellite in the dining room- my iPhone regularly drops wifi in my driveway and somehow this camera has extraordinary signal/reach. Not only that, but I don’t even need to mess with my floodlight- the camera doesn’t need it. I might eventually buy a solar panel to recharge the battery, but so far I haven’t had any issues (with the camera feed on as PIP on my front room TV.
Overall I’m seriously impressed. This thing saved me at least $150 in a new Orbi satellite (~$79-$99) and floodlight ($50)- PLUS a day on the extension ladder to reach the facia board of the garage (20 feet up!).
I plan on buying three more of these- one for each side walkway and one for my full backyard. Trust me, this is well worth the $$ (so far ????)
Now just to figure out if I want to mess with SD cards or just get their cloud service! Both seem to work the same as far as alerts/reviewing footage, but I like the idea of the video being stored remotely instead of risking theft/damage/lost data with on-camera local storage. Besides, the multi-cam annual cost is less than if I loaded every camera with a mid-grade SD card….
Anyways, my two cents says this is the best cam I’ve found for the price- hands down.

I have several other Netvue products and this falls right in line with those. With this one, it had the added bonus of night vision and battery operations. The camera quality is great and motion detection is a nice option. I would recommend this camera especially based on the value.

Solar Lite is the best solar panel option designed for my outdoor battery security camera. I hope to experience many trouble free years of service. Setup was a breeze with the included parts and clear instructions. I recommend everyone purchase this for your installation.
Han Calrissian
Purchased this standalone without solar panel. I have had this camera installed for a week now. Because I will need to charge the batteries eventually, had to mount lower than I wanted. Easy install and firmware upgrade process. The alerts without purchasing a subscription are nice, but the screen captures seem to be behind. I was offered a free month trial of the video and this makes the camera more usable in my mind, as I can see the video from the alerts. But, this is not 24x7 video.
Pros: Good picture quality, ability to install where power is not available, motion alerts, affordable
Cons: Solar panel is extra - will need to charge batteries periodically and mount in an accessible location (not good for security). Only provides 3 captures per motion and would certainly require the paid video service, but is not 24x7.

Picture quality is excellent, battery life is good.

My first impression of this camera is that the video quality is good and build seems tough. It was quite heavy coming out of the box but it has a good size battery that is supposed to last many months. I followed the instructions in the manual to set up but had trouble until I realized that the QR code to download the app was on the outside of the box and not actually in the quick start guide. Once I had the app, the process was smooth but took a little time. The camera needed to be updated to the latest firmware which it did. However the app got stuck during the update. I only need it was done because the camera itself notified me so I had to shut down and restart the app. One up and running and connected to the Wi-Fi, the camera can be viewed live or it can capture up to 20 seconds for each detected motion on an SD card which you have to provide yourself. The app has a lot of options from custom notifications to advanced setting to dial everything in. There is a short delay to connect to camera for live view and can be viewed on cellular or another Wi-Fi network. The camera has been up for almost a week and it is still showing 100 percent battery. I had one annoying issue that when app is running in the background and I connect to my vehicle Bluetooth, I’m stuck on a phone call with it. I just have to shut down app to resolve. I will install this outside at some point and will see how it will hold up to weathering and if the 2 large antennas provide a decent signal. Overall a very good camera with options. We’ll see how it lasts but for the price, it’s a good quality camera for the buck.

Love the wireless camera, but I thought it was supposed to come with a solar panel based on the product description. The picture quality is decent, the motion feature is a hit or miss. It can sometimes pick up wind or leaves flying but all outdoor cameras are like this, even Arlo cameras aren't perfect. The sound from the camera is not as loud as I had hoped but the microphone quality is good. The night vision is good, it even has a function to turn the flashlight on (from the app). I wish there was a motion zone option like their other cameras, but overall I'm satisfied with this camera. Not sure how long the battery will last per charge though.
Jared FS
This camera is super easy to set up and to use. The app is simple but effective, and other than a few mis-translations and no big deal bugs, works really well for managing your camera(s). Only thing to note, the motion detection works; though it uses an actual motion sensor in conjunction with the camera, so it's not effective through glass or screens. The device has to be mounted outdoors, free and clear, and even then the motion sensor isn't effective more than 50 feet away so you might miss or get blurry close ups of anything moving too quickly past the camera range. But, for the money this is probably the best device you can get! [Full Disclosure: I am getting reimbursed for the purchase by posting this review.] I do however own two Netvue cameras; and haven't had trouble with my other one for 3 years running now, so I'd recommend the brand anyway!

This is my 4th Netvue camera. I have 2 wired wifi Vigils, an Orb Cam and this wireless Vigil Plus. Im very satisfied with this one as well and it just got better. No need for me to hook it up to a power cable so I can virtually put it anywhere I want. Video/sound quality is very close to the other big name and more expensive brands (we had Ring at a business location). Has a good weight to it and does not feel cheap. Looks like its well built the same way as my other Netvue outdoor cams which has been outdoors in the sun, dust and rain for over 2 years now with no problems, so I expect the same with this one. Battery life is also great. Havent charged it yet after a week of use (still has 80+ % power) and it constantly detects movement all throughout the day. Would definitely buy one or two more to completely cover the whole house.

It was surprised how easy it was to set up with the app. Very user friendly. The image quality was excellent and I like that it has night vision and motion detection. Great for home security. I have two other Netvue cameras and I’ve been happy with them for years. This new camera seems like a great improvement. I also ordered the new solar charging accessory that hopefully will make it easy to keep the camera battery charged.

I really liked this camera. It came very quickly and the set up was faster than the other Netvue cameras I already have. The quality of the video is great. I like that it has an alarm option since I mounted it outside.

Put up outside to keep an eye on my Vehicles. The night vision and spotlight are great. I already own a Netvue ptz camera and the pics are awesome on both cameras

I love this brand. I now have an inside and an outside camera and I plan on getting more. I love the fact that I can speak through the cameras

Sleek compact design The overall quality coincides with the other NETVUE products which I have had in service for a couple of years now. I am looking forward to the Solar panel attachment so that the camera can be mounted in a location where access to power is limited. Configuration follows the other NETVUE cameras and is easy to setup using a phone app.

This is our 6th netvue camera and is our 1st wireless outdoor camera. We have 2 outdoor wired bullets that work awesome. The netvue vigil plus has a built in rechargeable battery that we charge using Solar Lite Ibest solar panel for outdoor battery cameras that we purchased straight from netvue's online store. Both the camera & solar panel were very easy to install & setup to our Homes WIFI. The camera has a siren & white light that work very well when you use the controls through the APP on your phone. We installed a micro SD card in the camera to record all activity outside.

I have three other cameras but they're wired I wanted this camera for the backyard so I wouldn't have to run wires very disappointed motion detection range is very poor seems you have to be with him four feet before it starts recording even if you have it set on high sensitivity it does not do continuous record so I'm disappointed in that it only recordes when motion is detected Not once did it catch me walking out of my back porch it caught me walking away motion detection is very poor

I was able to use this in the parking garage at my office. Two floors down and I would never be able to wire a camera through two floors. Now I can keep an eye on my car during the day. I have only had it for a while but haven't seen the battery go down at all.

I have 3 other Netvue cameras (2 home cams, 1 orb mini) that I’ve had for a while. Even though they are not rated for outdoor use they are all permanently outside (covered) and they are all rock solid! So when the Vigil Plus came out I expected the same quality. However, this camera is outdoor-rated but I’m using it indoors. I attached a gorilla pod tripod to it so I could place it in areas where I want to keep track of pets using live viewing. The video quality is fantastic and it has all the features you’d expect except one major one—continuous recording. I love that about my other Netvue cams but then again they are plugged in to a power source. The Vigil Plus’ shining moment is its large battery. I presume they didn’t include this continuous recording feature because it would drain the battery too fast. It’s just not that kind of camera. This is a motion, security camera that you place in out of the way places where you may not have an electrical outlet handy like a tree, shed, etc. It’s a truly “wire-free” camera. On a technical note, I usually get an error pop-up when trying to access the live view for the first time but then it usually connects—a minor annoyance. There was one instance where it lost connection altogether and I had to restart it. Since then it has been ok. I have tested it indoors and my next phase is to test it outdoors, uncovered in a remote part of my yard. I hope the only biggest challenge is the WiFi reach! I’ll update this review at that time.

I absolutely LOVE this camera. Installation is simple. Setup is easy. The picture quality is great! I highly recommend this camera. I liked it so much, I bought 4!

The good:
- Image quality is pretty good when you look at it in a smartphone
- This camera's battery life is great. It uses less than 1% of battery per hour.
- It saves videos in MP4 format! I have other cameras that use proprietary formats and using the vendor's apps is a pain, but this one uses MP4 so I can use any video program like VLC or Windows Media Player to watch them.
- It comes with an alarm feature I found nice: you can configure it to blink a bright white light whenever it detects movement, and you can also blink the light on demand using the smartphone app. It also has an alarm sound that you can play on demand.
The bad:
- Image quality could be better, even though it's not noticeable while using a smartphone, when you open the images in a PC you notice they are pixelated. I took 4 images under varying light conditions so you can judge by yourself. By far, the night mode photos are the best in my opinion.
Other thoughts:
- I thought the camera was going to record continuously, but it actually records only when it detects movement. This explains how they can make the battery last that long.
- Recorded videos use around 2MB each 20 seconds.
In summary, I'm pretty satisfied with this camera, the price is not high and the image quality is acceptable.

I'm new to the world of video security for my home, and i gotta say, i love this camera.. The set up was a breeze! i love that its wireless which allows me to place it anywhere on my property! The picture has a pretty great quality esp considering the price point! I have more expensive, older, interior cameras that do not have the clear resolution that this one does. The ease of the app is fantastic.. I will def be ordering some more of these for my entire perimeter!

I already have 3 NetVue wired cameras and these work perfectly.
There's one spot outside my house at the rear where I cannot get power to (but I can get WiFi) so it was a bit of a blind spot.
When the battery operated camera came out I picked one up (well, two) and I have to say at ?55 each they are a bargain.
It took me 10mins to set each one up, added to my NetVue app and these latest two work with my Netvue Echo Show hub just like the others.
One new feature, which is super useful, is the Sleep function. Because one of the new cameras overlooks my dog run at the rear of the house I didn't want to be alerted every time one of my dogs moves. With the Sleep function, I can hibernate the camera during the day when the dogs are out, but when they come in late afternoon, I can have the camera switch back fully with motion detection active and know the area is covered by CCTV overnight. Perfect.
Video quality is just as good as my other NetVue cam's and because there's no wires needed it took my literally 15mins to install both cameras - just three screws and they were done!
I didn't go for the solar panel but my idea for charging the cameras, without taking them off the wall, was to buy a USB battery pack, charge that and then plug it in to the cameras while still on the wall. Once the cameras are fully charged, unplug the battery pack and I'm done. Doubt I'll need to do this often anyways as the battery life is said to be very long.
So far, these are a great addition to my set up.

I already have 5 Netvue Vigil cameras and they all are great !
So I was excited to get this battery powered camera to place it in an area where plugging it in would be tough It works great ! Picture quality is awesome especially the color night vision ! It is super easy to set up and a great bit for the money!

I activated the Vigil Plus with ease and mounted it under the house eaves above the front door, it works great day and night with clarity. I also purchased the option for motion video in their cloud. Highly recommended!

I’d been searching for an affordable, external camera with a long-lasting rechargeable battery with easy installation and this one meets all the criteria I was looking. Easy set up and great picture quality.

As an official tester of the NETVUE Wireless Security Camera Outdoor, Rechargeable Battery Powered Surveillance Cameras for Home Security, Smart AI Detection, IP66 Waterproof, 2-Way Audio, 1080P Night Vision Cloud/SD Storage (this item can also be checked on the Netvue.com site) which I purchased from Netvue.com, I will outline the experience I had:
(1) unboxing:
(2) activating the camera and Netvue App (which searched via my iPhone 12 Pro with latest IOS. Note I note this because initially I had difficulty finding and activating the NetVue (Outdoor) Vigil Plus Camera from the list provided in the App:
(3) and testing the camera before locating it at the front door.
I received the following items in the box with a message to “check the package to see if it's well or if any parts are missing. If so, please contact us”.
[Photos of unboxing, day, night shots, with and without White Light]
2. To activate the NetVue App (note that NetVuE end with an “e” because there simile apps ending in “VU” that do not work), first set up an account in the NetVue App which is fairly easy, just follow the instructions in the App.
There is a small manual in the box but more detailed instructions are given in the App about every aspect of the camera and the App. I experienced a little glitch in activating the Vigil Plus Camera but was able to resolve the issue by phone and email: ios@netvue.com with NetVue support.
3. Before installing the camera outside, I tested it. Since there is “No Cabling - it is equipped with a rechargeable battery that can last 8 months” … all I had to do is charge the battery with the supplied USB cable and follow the instructions in the App for adding a camera …. Click the + sign in the upper right hand corner then scroll down to “Outdoor Cameras” and click on “Vigil Plus” and then “Add New Camera” and follow the directions by answering the question that will get you through setting up your camera on your internet network, etc.
After getting acquainted with and wealth of information that the App gives about the camera, it is a good idea to go the man menus available; below is a partial listing of the services supplied by camera and app:

I hope this gives good overview of this wireless, battery (I added a solar panel) operated Vigil Plus. I also added a 128GB Memory Card (for recording of events). I am very happy with its compatibility with Google Home which I had on a Vuebell Video Doorbell which worked very well when I said: “Show front door” …. Our present RCA doorbell on our new house does not have this feature and this is the reason for installing the Vigil Plus. For the price I think it is an excellent deal and perfect for a front door with its two-way audio capability.

This Netvue battery-powered Outdoor Camera has a good feel of quality and robustness so it didn't disappoint.
It was so easy to set up using the Netvue App. As it is battery powered, it basically lets you fit the camera anywhere you want providing your Wi-Fi signal is strong enough. Advantageous as this battery-powered camera doesn’t need to be placed near a power source. It comes fitted with rechargeable batteries which it is claimed will last approximately 8months before a recharge. Time will tell. I noticed that there is also an optional solar panel available separately so it could be a very good green option. No requirement to take the camera inside to recharge the batteries.
This Netvue camera only works with the Netvue App but I had the camera working and installed very quickly. The Netvue App works great and you can easily customise what you need from within the App. The camera links very well with Google Home, my phone and watch so you can receive notifications in real-time when there is a camera detection. For example, I can see the camera live feed on all my Netvue show devices. You just need to install the Google Home skill. The only downside for me is that you cannot see footage on your PC.
The picture quality/clarity is very impressive. At night I basically like the fact that the camera has two modes of operation, namely “White light mode and Infrared mode. Basically this camera gives enhanced Night Vision so you can easily see everything in very clear detail which is superb. I particularly liked the White Light Mode. The camera Motion detection is good, so you can change sensitivity and which parts of the vision view are detected.
If this Netvue camera performs well then I am sure to add further cameras to my setup. You never know I might even buy a solar panel to keep the camera running.
In summary Very easy to set up, Night vision is much better than I expected and it's value for money.

My house is equipped with several netvue cameras. I use them as security cameras, as a way to watch the kids from the living room or my bedroom, and to keep an eye out my front door. This cam is the best yet! Set up took less than two minutes. The first night it was set up, it poured and the camera was not affected at all. It held up great and I can tell it'll hold up in many more storms. The picture quality was great as expected and there is no delay from real time and the video you're seeing on your phone. I highly recommend getting this camera.

I think the most important thing in today's life is not only safety, what's the quality of safety as well. This cameras clarity is so clear that would be able to pick up any facial recognition should be used for protection. The audio is clear as well and the wireless feature makes it easy to place anywhere. This is my fourth camera in the company and I absolutely advocate for them. You can stop scrolling!

This is my 3rd Netvue camera product. My first two were wired and I really like the wireless aspect of this camera. I guess my concern is how long will the battery last until it depletes because there's no way to remove/replace the battery. It would've been great if it came with the solar panel because the manual says one fully charged camera should last 8 months, but I'm planning to use this as a security camera and this will be on 24/7. Fully charging the camera out of the box took me about 12 hours (manual says 14 hours). There is an alarm you can activate which is pretty neat since it can potentially scare off intruders. This camera doesn't have motion zone selection available like the other Netvue cameras that I own. It would be great if there's an option for that to turn off certain zones. The picture quality is decent, would've liked if it was more clear since.

I already have a couple of the wired external Netvue cameras which have been really useful so was keen to try a battery version. Obviously I don't yet know how long this will last without a charge but the picture quality and general running is consistent with my other cameras so I'm pleased. This was useful for a spot on the house where I didn't have the option to drill through to a socket and really didn't want wiring tracking across the wall.

I did not see anywhere the fact mentioned that this camera only works with phones. I want it to work with my PC. Why wasn't this mentioned in the add?
Lee B.
I tried this as an addition to my existing cameras, which are Netvue but wired.
Having had the camera for a week now, how I wish this was available then, the wired cameras are great but this is so much easier and no need to get a long power cable like I had to…so much tidier.
I was worried on the wi-fi connectivity versus the powered version but I needn’t have - it’s fine.
Great camera and great picture.

I have three outdoor Netvue cameras, having two standard Vigils and one Pan & Tilt version. It was a labor of love that started with testing the first Vigil 4 years ago. I bought the initial one not sure if I was going to like the whole camera dealio-thing, or if I would think it was worth the effort in the end.
I must say that 1st camera was a real eye-opening experience getting it up and running, and then working well with the app. Admittedly, I was a complete newb and after feeling really proud of myself getting over that initial hurdle... about a year later purchased my 2nd Vigil... then the Pan & Tilt a year after that. Each time, the set up and linking to the app was easier than the last model... but always, and I mean always... the performance of the camera itself was never an issue. The product was always super reliable, super-crisp video and decent audio/talk functionality.
This last purchase was my first foray into the battery-only model, and I had a particular good use for it as I always wanted to have a tree-viewed angle of my property, but didn't want to deal with unwieldly and unsightly power cords.
Well, as I stated, after 3 other Netvue camera installs, I was hoping this was going to be easy to get up and running. But since it was not a direct plug-in, and 25' up in a tree, I wasn't sure if it was going to pan out with the wifi link etc. in short order, or if I was going to have to make it a career.
It turns out the interface to get this camera connected, and the SD card formatted was the simplest of any previous Netvue camera I've tried... it even talked to me when my wifi password was not correct (my mistake). I had that little gizmo up and running in 20 minutes and looking at video from the SD card immediately afterward on the app. The camera image (both day and night) are fantastic, just like all my other cameras... yet noticeably better than my very first Grandpa of a camera that's been out there in the 110+ heat of Phoenix weather for over 4 years now.
I'm not sure how you can beat these little Netvues for the value... I've always purchased them on sort of sale or lightning deal, and the bang for the buck (especially once I figured out the sd card option worked for my particular application) is ridiculous in my opinion.
My next test will me the solar power version/option model... which, living on Phoenix should be a no-brainer since clouds around these parts are about as scarce as snow days! :)

Loved the very sensitive motion detection and the easy set up

Instructions included with the camera makes connection to your wifi very easy. You can conveniently install a 128GB Micro SD card by removing the rubber cover. Place the card in the slot and gently push down. The card slot is spring loaded. If you can't push down gently, you have it in backwards. Flip it over. Download the Netview App to make connection to your 2.4 ghz wifi network. The app will create a qr code at which you will point the camera. In no time, the device will be connected to your network. The image on the camera is very clear. The night image using the infra-red light is very good also. If you would like color, the camera has a white light that you can turn on from the app on your phone. The wide angle lens covers alot of my side yard. It is a very nice security camera especially considering the price.
